Our commitment
Peptide.best is committed to making our marketplace accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA β the standard widely accepted as the benchmark for accessible web content.
What we've done
- Semantic HTML β every page uses appropriate landmark elements (
<header>,<nav>,<main>,<footer>) and heading hierarchy. - Alt text β every meaningful image has descriptive alternative text. Decorative images use empty alt to be skipped by screen readers.
- Keyboard navigation β all interactive elements (links, buttons, forms, tabs) are reachable and usable with a keyboard. Visible focus indicators are preserved.
- Color contrast β our brand colors meet WCAG AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text). The body ink (#0F172A) on background (#F8FAFC) measures 16.4:1.
- Form labels β every form field has an explicit
<label>association. Errors are announced. - Skip links β a "Skip to main content" link is provided at the top of every page (forthcoming on some templates).
- ARIA β we use ARIA roles where appropriate (e.g.,
role="search",aria-labelon icon buttons) and avoid ARIA when native HTML semantics suffice. - Responsive design β the site reflows usably at zoom levels up to 200% and on mobile viewports.
- Content patterns β disclosure widgets (FAQ accordions) use
<details>/<summary>for native accessibility.
Known issues we're working on
- Some product image galleries are not yet fully keyboard-traversable; we're refactoring this in Q3 2026.
- The cookie-consent banner does not yet have first-focus management on appearance; fix planned in Q3 2026.
- Certain third-party embeds (payment iframes, chat widget) inherit accessibility issues from the upstream vendor; we track these.
- Charts and data tables in the vendor portal would benefit from additional screen-reader-friendly summaries; in progress.
Testing
We test with: NVDA (Windows), VoiceOver (macOS/iOS), TalkBack (Android), keyboard-only navigation, axe-core automated scans, and Lighthouse accessibility audits. We also run a quarterly manual audit by an external accessibility consultant.
