Payments (crypto-first, v1)

NOWPayments handles customer checkout. Vendor payouts are sent in USDC on Ethereum directly from the platform treasury wallet the moment a line item is marked shipped.

NOWPayments API key Used to create invoices at checkout. Rotate via NOWPayments dashboard.

NOWPayments IPN secret Used to verify webhook signatures at /api/webhooks/nowpayments.

Platform treasury wallet (Ethereum, display only) Private key held in KMS. Outgoing USDC transfers are signed server-side and broadcast via Alchemy. View on Etherscan.

Gas price ceiling (Gwei) Payouts pause when base fee exceeds this. Resume automatically when gas drops.

Pause all vendor payouts (emergency switch — shipped items will queue but not transfer until resumed)

Enable card payments at checkout (default off — coming soon, requires Stripe Connect rollout)

Enable ACH bank transfer at checkout (default off — coming soon)

Commission & payouts

Defaults apply to any vendor whose commissionRateBps is null. Reserve is the rolling buffer held to cover refunds.
